Nomads lose another game in the holidays: the world according to Lachy

The Nomads with a depleted side again due to both injuries and the university holidays lost to the Tamworth Roos 21.26.152 to 2.7.19. For some details of the game and some gratuitous commentary on the day as a whole by Lachy Ewart Esquire, read below.

On Saturday the 7th of July, The Armidale nomads travelled to Tamworth to take on the kangaroos.
It was a low numbered travel squad with only 10 and 4 juniors.

Saw James Treweeke or little dog aka donkey make his return.

Tamworth got off to a quick start with four goals in four minutes.
That was to be the pattern of the day.

The girls packed up the car and left at quarter time, as they had seen enough.

Nick Locke and Jeremy Bourchier would win the footy bravely all day but a lack of forward line structure saw it come back as quick as it would go in. Star man did his best to intimidate the opposition with a superman impression however the scoreboard didn’t agree as Tamworth continued to walk the goals in.

Steve’s mullet was flowing as he stood up in a very busy backline.

Liam Cudmore was wishing he hadn’t come back from the sunny Gold coast so soon as the pain only built as the day went on.
Snowy was wearing the long sleeve jumper and tried all day.
Rambo had his pants pulled down both literally and not, He was clinical again showing why he was in the rep side however too much was left to too little.
James was winning the taps but nomads struggled to win the clearances.

Nomads were outplayed.

The juniors did well to play two games in the day and help us out.

However, then came the night out in Tamworth. Snow started being best on, getting drunk off two beers. Nick Locke racked in the awards and hence the free beers. He over took Snow for best on. Jeremy and James were solid putting in a clinic Robb college performance. Snow attempted to karate chop his entire house down putting him back in best on for the night.

However, this game will stand as a turning point. We will have a full side next week and attempt to get the four points.

Thank you for those who made the effort to return for the day.
