Round 6 Versing the Tamworth Kangaroos in Tamworth – men’s result

July 1st, 2025

From the coach: We were equal to the task for the first quarter, though 16 players ( 16 players v 16 players) and no bench we were at a huge disadvantage. Mentions to first gamers that helped us have a team to be able to play.
Lachie Haycock, John Irving-Frost and Matt Collins (57yo)

We learned a lot from the challenges of the weekend. Donavan stepped into a mobile ruck role, Simon just keeps going like the energizer bunny! Toby has transitioned from soccer to AFL and was great when most were struggling. Oskar is a defender in the making, Frosty will always be a defender at heart! And a 57yo debutant was not there to make up the numbers!

It was a hard watch for the coach, but learnt more from the loss than from a win!

In the women’s game we unfortunately had to forfeit.

Players player – Donavan Hansell
Coach’s – Toby Colless
President’s – Simon Li
Meehan’s – Donavan Hansell
Captain’s – Cotter Litchfield
