Round 2: Both men and women acquit themselves well
On May 10 the New England Nomads took on the Tamworth Swans at the Bellevue oval. In the Womens’s game the score was Nomads 3.9.27 to the Swans 11.7.73. Goalkickers for the Nomads were Gabrielle Stanek, Lucy Petrie and Phoebe Hewetson. In the Men’s game the Nomads scored 12.0.72 to the Tamworth Swans’ 16.18.114. James Walters kicked 3, Aidan Barry, Eli Knuckey and Oskar Bradshaw 2 apiece, while new boy Reilly Widdup, Nic Leopardi and Johnathan Frost kicked one goal each. One striking feature of the men’s was the return of legacy gentlemen, Charlie Yeppie Paine and the Mayor of Armidale, Harrion Munday. With J-Frosty also lurking about it looked like the nOmads of yore
Awards for the men were:

Coach’s award A. Barry
Captain’s Award: E. Knuckey
Meehan’s Plumbing Award: W. Hall
