Bulldogs fall at Bellevue

After a closely contested first quarter the New England Nomads ran out easy winners over the Gunnedah Bulldogs with a score Nomads 22-19-151 to Bulldogs 8-7-55.

Tom Granleese and Benji Julien were very good players consistently running the ball out of the back line. Zac Wells and Dan Davies were also fine contributors in Defence. Honai Morell roamed the centre cutting holes in the Bulldogs defence and was ably supported by Grant Elson who rucked tirelessly for most of the game.

Once again Zeb Ellis-Cluff was amongst the Nomads best with an excellent display on the forward line. Zac Economou demonstrated his adaptability by strong play in a number of positions. The ever reliable Clint Ballagh initiated the switch play which created many opportunities for the Nomad forwards.

Once the Nomads got on top their play was characterised by accurate handball to advantage, running the ball out of the backline, switching the attack to difference sides of the ground and intelligent decision making.
