Having a ball
The Nomads headed to the Wicklow for their annual ball on the back of a 19 point victory over the Inverell Saints. Lead by an excellent performance by Weston Whitby, New England got home by 13.11 (89) to the Saints 9.16 (70) at Bellevue Oval.
Elsewhere there were a couple of firsts, Narrabri’s first defeat of the season and the Cats’ first TAFL victory since 2007. The Eagles went down by 14.13 (97) to 11.13 (79) at the Roos. Muswellbrook won in style, 17.16 (118) to 10.5 (65) against the Tamworth Swans.
