Nomads Assistant Coach Brendan Nolan and Coach Adrian Walsh

Brendan Nolan has been involved with the Nomads as a supporter for years and being Assistant Coach for the team this year is just one more step up the football ladder.

Nolan began playing Aussie Rules in Traralgon, Victoria and was captain of the Traralgon Thirds in 1964. He moved to Melbourne in 1965 and played with the Carlton Thirds.

After time in the Army, Nolan played for two years with Vermont Football Club in Victoria and moved
to the Mornington Peninsula League, playing for Mt Eliza, between 1975 and 1978. He accepted a Captain/Coach position with the Tyabb Football Club in 1979, before moving to Armidale.

During his football career, Nolan has played in nearly every position on the ground, but his two favourite playing positions were Centre Half Forward and Full Back.
