When the Nomads take to the Moree field on April 17th it will be the first time since 2012 that the side will without 4 times premiership player Luke “Rambo” Raymond. Rambo played 86 games with the Noeys and in that time played in 6 grand finals and won 4 premierships. He won the best and fairest in 2019 and came runner up a number of times.

Luke’s football has continually improved. One of his most remarkable feats was winning the best on ground in a losing grand final in 2019 (a highly unusual occurrence it must be said to do so in a losing side). Originally playing on the wing, bu the end of his time at the Nomads he played mainly in the midfield. His speed and doggedness were remarkable.

Rambo is relocating to his home town of Port Macquarie. He is going to be really missed here in Armidale.
