TAFL in valiant defeat against North Coast
The TAFL representative side (which included ten Nomads players) was beaten today by 25 points at the Stadium at Coffs Harbour. Zac Economou kicked 4 goals for the TAFL side and best players for the boys in blue included Andrew George, Modra, Tom Hunt, Hamish Pearce, Ben Maddern, Jed Ellis-Cluff and Clarrie Barker. It was an excellent game marked by good skills and hard running. Zac won the man of the match for the TAFL side. The final scores were 12.19.91 to 10.6.66.
If it had not been for a poor second quarter by the TAFL in which the North Coast kicked 5.9 to the TAFL’s one point the game would have been much closer.
