Nomads win well out west at Narribri
The Nomads have continued their winning ways out at Narribri on Saturday. Zac Economou kicked 7, Rampaging Dave Richards 5 and young tyro Clarrie Barker kicked 4. Clarrie was also best afield with other notable performances coming from Tim Keys, Jed Ellis-Cluf and Luke ‘Rambo’ Raymond.
The Nomads started with only 19 due to a few transport mishaps and other shenanigans. Despite the long journey the boys started strongly kicking 8.4.52 to 1.1.7. The rest of the match was far more even with the 13.13 to the Eagles 9.8 for the following three quarters.
Apologies from your correspondent for this brief report as he was stuck in an airport thanks to dubiously overbooked planes. However, from all accounts the team played well with a number of players out. Clarrie starred and Tim Keys who took over the role of ruck man did a magnificent job in the middle.
Thanks to Zac who drove the bus, avoided his ditch, kicked 7 goals, coached and then drove home again. Also big thanks to Liam Howard for being the Nomads Rouse-a-bout doing everything from running water to assisting with the gear. A big effort from young Liam.
Over the next few weeks, the team needs to cohere with a full list. The big game against the Roos is only a fortnight away – get behind Zac and the coaching team and let’s make training really hum.
