Annual awards for 2012
Weston Whitby, winner of the 2012 Best and Fairest and Players' Player awards
The 2012 presentation evening took place at the Wicklow Hotel last Friday (the 14th of September) and the three top vote-getters were Weston Whitby, David Graan and Riley Connor.
The annual award winners for 2012 were:
- Best & Fairest: Weston Whitby
- B&F Runner-up: Dave Graan
- Players’ player: Weston Whitby
- Clubman: Leigh Holmes and Carl Holschier
- Most improved: Jon Freund
- Best 1st year player: Kaine Rowlings
- Most consistent: Riley Connor
- Most determined: Hugh Cook
- Coach’s award: Locky McLeod
- Goalkicker: Dave ‘Modra’ Richards
Congratulations to all those concerned.
In a very strong field with many contenders, the annual Dale award was awarded to Lochy McLeod for multiple indiscretions on SIlly Sunday/Mad Monday. (A noteworthy feature of this year’s Dale countdown was that, for the first time since 2007, Rowdy didn’t receive a single nomination!).
Also worth noting, the annual Nomads Tipping Competition was won by Starry (169), with Caleb (166) and Brendo (161) coming second and third.
