From the Armidale Express, 27/06/2011 The New England Nomads have rebounded from their shock loss to Gunnedah last week with a win over ladder leaders Tamworth Kangaroos. Round 7 of Tamworth AFL saw the unbeaten Kangaroos travel to Bellevue where they were greeted by a well-drilled Nomads outfit.

In a tense and tightly contested match against the previously unbeaten Tamworth Kangaroos, the Nomads eventually triumphed, winning by 18 points. It was a well-deserved victory for the Nomads, who ran all day and whose teamwork and hardness at the ball was the best it has been all year.
