The early-season Essential Energy TAFL ladder has an interesting look to it after round two, with the Narrabri Eagles sitting proudly at the top on eight points after an excellent 18.11 (119) to 12.7 (79) victory in Gunnedah.

Meanwhile, in Tamworth, the Swans recovered from their first round loss, defeating the Inverell Saints 18.22 (130) to 11.14 (80).

The Tamworth Kangaroos made their season debut in Muswellbrook with a 20.13 (133) to 11.9 (75) win against the Cats.

Interesting times.
