Step up to the mark

kitchenerThe 2010 Country Energy TAFL competition starts on Saturday so it is time to stand up, support the coach, get to training and put in the effort needed to get the season off to a good start.

While the showing at the Tablelands Cup was very promising, there is still a way to go to build a Premiership winning team. Greater commitment to the club; in terms of getting to training and being available to play, is needed than has been shown by some players over the past couple of seasons.

In addition, the senior players and experienced newcomers need to take responsibility for helping the newer players to develop quickly.

The imminent departure of the club secretary also means there are opportunities for people to take on a role within the running of the club. There are a number of off-field tasks available to either players or non-players, not just secretary. Remember, many hands make light work. Speak to a committee member for more information.
