No cartoon, and not much to write either this week. Too depressed after a dreadful display which saw the Nomads beaten by the Roos 17.9 (111) to 9.13 (67).

An awful first half was followed by a spirited third quarter comeback which brought the Nomads right back into the game. However when the Roos lifted themselves at the start of the fourth quarter, New England couldn’t keep with them and the game was well and truly up.

Goalkickers for the Nomads were James Downie (3), Weston Whitby (2), Matt Maxwell (2), Adrian Walsh and Anthony Reid.

Match-day awards went to Matt Maxwell (Players’ Player), Nick Schultz (Coach’s), Dave MacLellan (Captain’s) and Ed Nixon (President’s).
