The New England Nomads have kept their focus in front of a vocal home crowd to record their biggest win of the TAFL season thus far. The Nomads were electric in parts with Weston Whitby booting eight goals, despite not playing a full game in the forward line. At times, such as a short period after half time, the Swans scored quickly; however, it was little more than a vibrant swansong. The Nomads also managed to utilise the full field with increased speed to dominate the majority of the game, with only excellent accuracy in front of goals saving Tamworth from a comprehensive shellacking. The final margin was thirty eight points. The crowd was extremely vocal, being made up predominantly of former Nomads supporters in town for the 10th Anniversary Ball and Reunion, definitely lifting the players.
