Coaches for 2008

The New England Nomads is pleased to announce that Brendan Meehan will be Head Coach for the 2008 season, with Dylan McGrath as Assistant Coach.

Brendan has been around the club for a couple of seasons and brings a wealth of footy experience to the position.

Thanks to Adrian Walsh (Walshy/Starry) for the fantastic job that he has done over the last couple of seasons in the coaching role. Adrian became Head Coach during a transitional period for the club and the tremendous amount of time and effort that he has devoted to both the coaching and administrative duties that he has taken on has helped to ensure that the Nomads are headed for a healthy future. Although Adrian has stood down from coaching he will continue to be very much involved in the club both as a player and treasurer.

I would just like to congratulate Brendan Meehan on his appointment as Senior Coach for 2008. It promises to be a great year, with the NOmads hopefully going a couple of steps better than 2007. I would also like to thank Uncle Chop Chop for his significant contribution to the Club in a number of ways, but most particularly as the Senior Coach for the past two years. It has been a hard slog for a 40-odd year old man who would rather play than direct from the sidelines so welcome back to the paddock fulltime Walshy.
