From the Armidale Express, 27/08/2007
In a tight game at Bellevue Oval on Saturday the Nomads held onto third spot on the Tamworth Australian Football League ladder with an 11-point win over the Tamworth Kangaroos.

The final score was 11.12 (78) to 10.7 (67).

The game started evenly, with the Nomads taking a one-goal lead into the first break.

They added another three goals in the second quarter to lead by 12-points at the big break.

The Ross were never out of it and kept plugging away with Dan Overeem keeping their score ticking over.

However the Nomads led for the ret of the match and the Roos were unable to reel them in before the fulltime hooter.

For New England Adrian Walsh booted four goals, aided by Jay Dunlop, James Downie and Anthony Reid who kicked two each.

The reliable Glen Northway was best for the Nomads and for the Roos Dan Overeem slotted seven goals and was the best on the field for his side.
