Auskick took centre stage for AFL football in the region on Saturday with TAFL senior clubs, including the New England Nomads, all having a bye in the lead up to the finals series.

Armidale Auskickers travelled down to Tamworth to play a return fixture, with Armidale having hosted Tamworth Auskick to a series of matches on 24 June.

Once again, the three matches were closely contested with some impressive aussie rules skills on display.

Final scores were:
5-7 year olds: Tamworth 5.5.35 def. Armidale 3.3.21;
8-9 year olds: Tamworth 5.4.34 def Armidale 4.6.30;
10-12 year olds: Tamworth 7.9.51 def Armidale 6.8.43.

The final Armidale Auskick session and end-of-season presentation day will be held on Saturday, 19 August 2006 at noon at Bellevue Oval, UNE.
