Always a hard game, the away fixture at Muswellbrook was made even more difficult by being during the UNE holidays and immediately after the Northern University Games, which took its toll on the squad. The Nomads managed to travel with a full team, but with no interchange options, and trailed throughout the match, the Cats coming out on top 15.11 (101) to 8.8 (56). To their credit, the team were still within touching distance at the final break, but a 5 goals to 1 behind final quarter gave the Cats a comfortable margin.

The Nomads’ goal kickers were Dylan McGrath (3), Weston Whitby (3), Warwick Richardson and Adrian Walsh.

Best players for the Nomads were Tom Hunt, Adrian Walsh, Dylan McGrath and Ben Page.
