A second quarter blitzkrieg of 7 goals into the wind by the Tamworth Roos was the centrepiece of their victory over the Nomads on Saturday. The Nomads, who had a number of key players out, battled on to show some pride on the second half, even outscoring the Roos in the final quarter.

Despite injuries to a number of key players, and some excellent running football on the part of the Gunnedah Bulldogs, the Nomads were able to shrug off their opponents in the second half to run out eventual winners, the final margin being 17 points.

For the second time this season the Nomads came up with a big win to celebrate a landmark game, this time to mark Caleb Dobos’s fiftieth appearance for the side.
