The Nomads have won their second game of the season defeating defending premiers the Tamworth Kangaroos by 52 points at Bellevue Oval. In very wet and cold conditions the Nomads were led well by new coach Tom Granleese, club stalwart Weston Whitby and on baller Dave Graan.

Despite only trailing by nine points at three quarter time, the Nomads could not peg back the lead as the score finished 15.14.104 to 13.9.87.
