Nomads upset Premiership Favourites

Saturday’s ‘Match of the Round’ lived up to it’s billing with the clash between premiership favourites the Inverell Saints and the New England Nomads going down to the wire.

Nomads Dampen Kangaroos Spirits

The Nomads have won their second game of the season defeating defending premiers the Tamworth Kangaroos by 52 points at Bellevue Oval. In very wet and cold conditions the Nomads were led well by new coach Tom Granleese, club stalwart Weston Whitby and on baller Dave Graan.

Swans edge out Nomads in AFL season opener

From the Armidale Express, 16/04/2012 The Tamworth Swans beat the New England Nomads by 17 points in the opening round of the Essential Energy AFL competition on Saturday. Despite only trailing by nine points at three quarter time, the Nomads could not peg back the lead as the score finished 15.14.104 to 13.9.87.
