Nomads lose second game in a row

The New England Nomads have lost their first two games of the year with a substantial loss against the Gunnedah Bulldogs on Saturday. A five goal second quarter by the Dogs and again in the third quarter were the undoing of the Nomads, who were without some of their key players including Captain Luke Raymond and goal Maestro Modra. Angus Quail was once more a target up forward with four majors. New comer Brady Macdonald starred in the midfield, while Conor Nest, Matt Baillie, Morgan Dunn, Andy Gray and Josh Croft all did well. The final score was Gunnedah 16.8.104 to the New England Nomads 9.11.65.

The quarter by quarter scores were as follows:

First quarter Nomads 2.4.16 to Bulldogs 2.1.13
Second quarter Nomads 4.4.28 to Bulldogs 7.5.47
Third quarter Nomads 7.7.49 to Bulldogs 12.5.77
Final quarter Nomads 9.11.65 to Bulldogs 16.8.104
