A great win for the Nomads on Saturday. For a detailed report, by our own Lachy Ewart, read below.

On Saturday the Nomads played host to the Tamworth Roos, this was to be third play fourth in the first final.

A must win. Starmans 200th had the boys pumped and ready to go

Q1-
Both teams were hard at it with finals and their season on the line. The footy was harshly contested.
Nick Locke and Jeremy Bouch the twinkle toes brothers were at there simple best, moving the ball out of the midfield. Rambo was attempting to push the ball forward to a well driven forward line, However Tamworth was up for the challenge.
Angus Quail did his best to copy the blue mountains in dislocating his finger.
The Nomads 6.5, 41 played 2.3, 15.

Q2-
The ball was being moved off both half backs, Tamworth looked to pressure our defence however the boys were up to the challenge. Liam Cudmore was switching from forward to back and Mick was running the show down back with some impressive body moving for the big fella.
The star man came running onto the field, to the biggest reception ever heard unfortunately it was for robb scoring a try at the grand final but it was good to have him on his 200th.
The nomads were starting to put the pressure on before half time. The nomads 13.5, 83 to 3.4,22 Roos.

Q3-
*Graphic Warning*
The nomads had their foot on throat on the Roos but played the worst quarter of the year.
There was minimal defensive running, allowing Tamworth back into the game.
The effort wasn’t ther and all of us did not play acceptable football.
The coach James who is very quiet of norm, gave a spray to match a wild Clarkson. If that had been a wall there, he would’ve punched it.
Would Armidale respond or was this season over?
Nomads 15.9, 99 to 9.5, 59.

Q4-
Armidale burst out the gates like Ru Browne waiting for the library to open, very fast.
The boys played much better footy.
Harry Wakefield dominated the crumb and the footy getting “60 touches”.
The whole team lifted. The Armidale boys started to win the contests massively.
The roos were done.
Armidale won the game, Nomads 22.12, 144 to 9.5, 59 Roos.

We’d like to thank Tamworth Roos for a great game and great season.
Next week, we travel to Gunnedah to play for a spot into the GF.
Big congrats to an absolutely legend of the game, Star.
