Nomads bow-out in Tablelands final

By Gary Fry (Armidale Independent, 24/03/2010) The New England Nomads hosted the Tablelands AFL Knockout on the weekend. The knockout has been run annually for about eight years, however this was the first time it had been held over two days.

Nomads fall just short in final

From the Armidale Express, 22/03/2010. New England Nomads faced off with a strong North Coffs Harbour Kangaroos outfit in the final of the Tablelands Cup yesterday, going down 64-51 at Bellevue Oval. The two Australian football sides faced off for the cup after finishing the round robin as the top two teams.

Tablelands Cup, Day 2: the cup goes to North Coffs

The 2010 Tablelands Cup was won by North Coffs Kangaroos on Sunday, defeating the Nomads by nine points in the final. Earlier in the day, New England had a four point victory over the Roos in their round-robin meeting, but couldn’t quite get over the line against them in the afternoon.
