From the Armidale Express, 24/07/2006. The New England Nomads are hanging on to a finals spot by their fingernails after Saturday’s crushing loss to the Tamworth Kangaroos.

The Tamworth Kangaroos became the fourth team to beat the Nomads this season, as the Nomads poor run of results continued at Tamworth No.1 Oval. Although the Nomads lead after the first quarter, the Roos dominated throughout to finish 14.12 (96) to 7.9 (51) winners.
