Nomads know how

From the Armidale Express Extra’s ‘On ya, sport’, 07/06/2006
Back to Aussie Rules again, the Nomads are sitting firm at the top of the Tamworth Aussie Rules after a 44-point win over Narrabri.

The New England team is now in front of both Tamworth sides as well as last year’s premiers Muswellbrook.

Being top of the table is an achievement in itself, especially after the Nomads were written off by many at the start of the season.

Their star players, Tom Hunt, John Mahy, Weston Whitby and Richard Malone, will have the opportunity to test themselves against the best when they play for TAFL this Saturday in the interleague competition.
