The New England Nomads were unable to catch the Tamworth Swans on Saturday, and went down 13.11.89 to 10.10.70.

Footballing kids were the big winners on Saturday, when Armidale hosted the Auskick AFL carnival for children between the ages of five and 12.

After cruising through their last couple of matches against the teams at the wrong end of the TAFL ladder, the Nomads received a reality check on Saturday, losing 10.10 (70) to the Tamworth Swans 13.11 (89).
