Reserves victory

The Nomads reserves had a victory in their first match of the season, against a side made up of Kangaroos and some Inverell Saints juniors.

The match was played over two 20-minute halves with reduced teams (10 or 12 per side, I think?) and the Nomads ran out winners by a 10 to 15 point margin. Unfortunately, nobody seems to have made a note of the final score or goal scorers, but the Nomads scored 40-odd to about 30 for the Roos.

Thanks to the Roos for organising a reserves side to come up to Armidale, and to the Inverell Saints juniors who made up the sides, having already played an U-16 TAFL match against the Roos.

Although it has not been possible to run a TAFL reserve grade competition this year, it is hoped that more reserve games can be arranged as the season progresses.
